Have you ever heard of decision paralysis? It’s when you’re so consumed with the consequences of making a decision that you become incapable of making a decision at all. I’ve been there many times before. It’s very frustrating to be that indecisive. Of course it’s a good thing to gain information about the decisions we make in order to make informed decisions. However, we shouldn’t be so consumed with the fear of making a decision so much that we can’t make a decision. Here’s the reason we don’t have to be consumed by the decisions we make: God’s plans for our lives are good. Good even when we’re not good His plans are good even when we make mistakes. His plans are good even when we turn our backs to Him. God is still there, even in a mess. This means no matter the outcome of our decisions, God is still able to make our decisions work for our good. Choose to remember this whenever you’re stuck on making a choice. Pray about it and seek God’s wisdom. Then, make a decision trusting that God is going to make it work for good in your life.
