Who Are You Going to Believe?

We all have a voice track that plays in our heads about ourselves. What does yours sound like? Is it a kind one or is it harsh? Is it a loving or condemning one? If it’s a harsh, mean, condemning one, know that it didn’t come from God. In Genesis 3:11, God is having a conversation with Adam. He and Eve just disobeyed God and are feeling ashamed. God is looking for Adam and Eve. When Adam responds to God’s call, he says that they are hiding because they’re naked. God responds with a simple question: “Who told you that?”. In other words: “Who told you that because it didn’t come from me?”. God is challenging Adam to think about where this negative thought came from because it didn’t come from Him. Our God is loving. He’s a Good Father. Queens, He cares for you. He sees the best in you. If your thoughts don’t align with that, then they didn’t come from Him. If your thoughts don’t align with how God sees you, pray that He’ll help you see yourself the way He sees you.
