What do you do when you're waiting for a situation to turn around and it doesn't look like there's any end in sight? What do you do when you're doing the right thing but the wrong thing keeps happening? What happens when you're praying for a situation to change and nothing happens? This is when you have to put your hope in God and not in your circumstances. For example if you're dealing with a troubled relationship, don't put all of your hope in the other person changing. Instead, put your hope in the God who transforms hearts and mends broken relationships. If you're dealing with a financial problem, instead of focusing your hope in more money coming in focus on the God who promised to supply all of your needs. You see, by focusing your hope on God instead of your circumstances you're making a choice to believe that God is able. You're making a choice to believe that no matter what your situation looks like, God is able to change it. You're choosing to believe that His word is true. This isn't always the easiest choice to make but remember: you're not doing life on your own. God can help you focus your faith and hope, just ask Him.
